Caliber.global is partnering with Cool Effect to provide clients with carbon offsetting options for their total FF&E logistics operations. That’s one step closer to a carbon-neutral business for many of the Top Fortune 500, global clients' Caliber serves.
Cool Effect, the non-profit organization, sources verified carbon reduction projects and donates over 90% of all donations to change the lives of communities around the world. As Caliber has grown to manage thousands of projects annually, in over 80 countries, this has led to Caliber’s increased commitment to optimize logistics solutions both economically and sustainably. The launch of this partnership is just one element of Caliber.global’s strategy to create long-term positive environmental impact worldwide.
Jeroen Scholten, CEO of Caliber.global shared “Whilst we support our clients to employ more sustainable practices and actively reduce emissions in their supply chains, carbon offsets are a critical part of our strategy. It’s driving investment into much-needed projects that cut carbon emissions globally and deliver real benefits to communities. We are proud to do this together with Cool Effect.”
Earlier this year, Caliber.global launched its CO2 Calculator which can uniquely calculate clients’ total logistics CO2 impact per project, per region, and per timeline. The data captured across transport (road, air, sea) and warehousing activities provides unique insight and supports sustainable practices to be employed i.e. local sourcing, advanced planning to avoid expediting by air, increased shipment consolidation, etc.
Today this partnership marks the circular and long-term sustainable approach Caliber will embark on with its clients. To see a selection of projects Caliber has supported and how communities are benefiting globally visit our partnership page!
